About Hot Grades

HotGrades has been an idea since september 2009. It came along as a small project for two Engineering students, but more about that later. HotGrades was first designed to hold content for course work taught in Concordia University. It then took a direction towards providing a general database to help any students with different background. The project has stalled during a first busy years and not enough work done on creating and setting up the website. The first major move of the project has been march 2010 when the domain name was registered. At that point began the basic design of the website.

The project which at first did not seem too troublesome had no content to provide for the website due to personal activities and busy schedules. One of the co-owners has decided to leave the project in july 2010. This was a severe impact which has driven the website in a whole new way. HotGrades was changed towards providing a simple community for students with intent to build a database of content on its forums.

The HG project has completely stalled and was driven toward a small blog for myself and two of my colleagues to discuss anything revolving around new software; some tutorials, some web design and more...

About the creator of HotGrades

Hi, My name is Vladimir Romanov and I am 21 years old. I am an Electrical Engineering student at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. I have developed a passion for web design since the day I began learning HTML three years ago. I had little time at the time to get more familiar with current technologies in web development so only last year had I put time into finally learning more techniques. I currently know HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and MySQL. In my spare time I design websites for personal or commercial use. I am currently working on creating a small portfolio of my work and a mock up can be seen at VRomanov . Other than web design I take great interest in programming, video gaming, weight lifting and fishing.
